For over 20 years BDY has provided natural sciences expertise and environmental due diligence services for projects located primarily within Tennessee and adjoining states. Our services benefit a wide range of clients such as small city and county governments, state regulatory agencies, resource companies (petroleum, coal, and timber interests), industrial concerns, transportation companies (pipelines, railroads), real property developers, road contractors, private landowner, and various other entities that encounter local, state, or federal environmental land use regulations. BDY's services are regularly provided within the contexts of commercial transaction due diligence, site permitting, regulatory enforcement, and civil litigation. For each of our clients, BDY provides applied, well-documented science that is specific to site circumstances. This scientific foundation is combined with a thorough understanding of pertinent regulatory and statutory authorities, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) analysis to determine if the proposed project will significantly impact the natural, social and/or economic environment. BDY's staff of science professionals are collectively credentialed in the fields of biology, botany, geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, ecology, environmental policy, and natural resource management. Additionally, BDY maintains relationships with well-regarded practitioners and researchers in allied fields that include human and ecological risk assessment, bio-assay, remedial design and engineering, and air quality consulting.
