CAB Architects

CAB Architects is a Toronto-based studio led by architects and husband-and-wife team Brian Hagood and Charisma Panchapakesan. We are passionate about residential design and believe it to be one of the most important forms of architecture. We seek to compose purposeful spaces for people to live, work, and play in. Our aim is to create homes that reflect the people who occupy them, and we look to represent our clients' unique personalities in every project. We believe that modern design can reach beyond an all-white palette, and our goal is to create warm and inviting spaces that will outlast current trends, providing a place of enjoyment for years to come. Our process begins with asking the right questions to help our clients translate their vision into a well conceived design. We then review schemes and costs, finding the right solution to develop into a complete package of construction drawings and specifications. Our contacts in the construction community allow us to connect our clients with experienced contractors, and we keep a watchful eye over construction to ensure that the design is properly executed. CHARISMA PANCHAPAKESAN, OAA Charisma is a graduate of the University of Waterloo, where she earned a Master of Architecture degree with commendations. Before returning to her hometown of Toronto, she spent several years working in New York City, focusing on high-end residential and retail design. Her interests include the exploration of other creative disciplines, such as graphic design and fine arts. BRIAN HAGOOD, OAA Brian is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture with honours. He spent ten years working in New York City specializing in renovations to Brooklyn brownstones before relocating to Toronto and focusing his interests on the local typology - the semi-detached house.
