CCIS - RCC Nis

The Regional Chamber of Economy of Niš is an independent, economic interest and professional representation of enterprises and entrepreneurs as well as of all other types of businesses and professional organisations and associations in the region of Niš which encompasses the districts of Niš, Pirot and Prokuplje. It is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political organisation, and also the RCE Niš is part of the Serbian chamber system. Apart from its regular and long-established activities, the RCE Niš has been very active in implementing project in the field of sustainable economic development, improvement of business supporting infrastructures, innovation, energy efficiency, development of entrepreneurship, etc. All activities conducted at the RCE Niš are dedicated to the support of economy in the region – the development of sustainable and export-oriented market economy. The activities include articulating the needs of member companies through representative associations based on branch economy and representing their interests in relation to the Government. The RCE Niš also provides support and services regarding business information, economic policy, finance, insurance, foreign economic relations, fair and exhibitions, market opportunity, quality management, R&D, training and education, innovation, IT, etc. The activities are conducted in the region of Niš, which encompasses three districts (Niš, Toplica, Pirot) with 19 municipalities. The seat is situated in Niš, and the branch offices of the RCE Niš are located in Prokuplje and Pirot. The RCE Niš is also very active in preparing and implementing EU-funded projects for economic development with the purpose of increasing the growth and competitiveness of its member companies and the creation of new businesses. RCE Niš has around 2000 active company members and almost 10,000 registered small trades. Region Nis comprise area of 7867 km2 with 642,000 of inhabitants.
