Derived from the local Wadawurrung Aboriginal name for the region, Djillong, which is understood to mean 'tongue of land'. Famous for our big city feel without the congestion, the stunning coast line, diverse night life and food culture, Geelong is a place for everyone. Located less than an hour from Melbourne, we are recognised as Victoria's second city.
