Global Emergency Relief

Global ER specializes in operational planning, preparedness and logistics coordination for humanitarian response and recovery projects. Founded by Nick Lobel-Weiss and supported by volunteers in the US and internationally, Global ER works with stakeholders to ensure that humanitarian resources efficiently reach the people who need them most. Global ER continues to address critical needs in Haiti through the provision of detailed operational planning for the development of healthcare infrastructure at HUEH, The State University Hospital of Haiti. Specific examples of activities undertaken in this area include: - Development of real-time needs assessments - Coordination of the procurement of medications, equipment and supplies - Logistics support - Supply chain systems development Global ER works closely with HUEH, the State University Hospital and with senior members of Haiti's Ministry of Health, the Office of the United Nations Special Envoy to Haiti, The United States Agency for International Development, The Foreign Ministry of France, The UN International Organization of Migration, The World Health Organization, The Pan American Health Organization, The Clinton Foundation, Partners in Health, CBM/Handicapped International, AmeriCares, Medishare (University of Miami/Miller School of Medicine) and many other organizations.
