Gro Africa

Gro Africa Pty is a Lesotho domiciled company that is focused on the licensed growing of premium cannabis for the medical cannabis industry. The Gro Africa site is situated alongside the runway of the Maseru Airport, providing excellent logistic opportunities to export cannabis as well as being in a prime position to aggregate and beneficiate cannabis grown by other independent facilities in Lesotho. Gro Africa holds a Prohibited Drug Operator Licence number 18/8/84/2018 issued by the Ministry of Health. This is a full spectrum 10-year license allowing the holder to hold cannabis in any form including seeds, tissue culture and extracted oils and permits cultivation of greenhouse or indoor cultivation (License fees are up-to-date). A long-term lease on 8 hectares of land situated adjacent to the Moshoeshoe I International Airport in Maseru, Lesotho. The site was previously owned by Canopy Growth & Highlands Investments has previously grown and exported cannabis from the site. The lease payments including ground lease payments to the local authorities are all up-to-date with the next lease payment being due at the end of December 2023. Gro Africa has an offtake agreement for 500kg/month @ $1USD per gram of flower plus additional biomass into the European market. Gro Africa has a local grow team of 5 very experienced cannabis growers. Gro Africa has full architectural plans for an indoor grow site. The site is designed to be scalable, phase 1 of the plans consists of 2 greenhouses of 1,000 square meters each, a cloning area, a mother room, nursery for vegging, a processing area including a drying room, curing room, packing and processing room and an administration block. The site can be scaled up to 12 greenhouses with appropriate operational buildings.
