Founded in 1911, with 100 years, ISEG is a research-oriented institution, whose mission is to instruct capable business and economics students and to train the most skilled managers, providing each with cutting edge knowledge in the corresponding areas of interest. ISEG is one of the top prestigious and experienced business and economics schools based in Portugal, one of the three top-ranked providers in these fields of education at undergraduate, graduate and executive training levels. As we enter into our second century, there seems no doubt that the success of a great number of our ex-students is an indication of the continuing quality of our educational model. In the globalised and multicultural world of today the only way forward is through learning appropriate ways to exchange goods, services and ideas, while at the same time giving an intelligent hearing to "the other", however different they may be. At ISEG we teach people to think and to take decisions based on true individual choice rather than those dictated by any kind of pre-defined model. And this is why ISEG has invited a whole range of personalities onto its consultative committee: to obtain the broadest possible range of highly educated opinion from the greatest variety of stand-points.
