TRY Global

Trauma Recovery Yoga (TRY) Global is a registered 501(c)3 in the United States, with our operations based in Iraqi-Kurdistan. An affiliate of TRY in the US, the TRY Global Team serves populations outside of the US, including survivors of the Yazidi genocide and mass violence, orphans, Syrian refugees, handicapped, elderly folks and many more. We provide a variety of community classes for men, women and children. We also advocate for mind-body methods in trauma recovery and facilitate a variety of trainings to educate folks on bottom-up techniques like TRY. Research conducted in Iraqi Kurdistan in 2021 showed incredible improvements over 8 weeks of practicing trauma in mental and physical trauma symptoms, resilience levels, and heart-rate variability of survivors of genocide and humanitarian workers.
