简介	A Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL) foi criada a 17 de novembro de 2000, um ano depois da consulta popular organizada pela Missão das Nações Unidas em Timor-Leste, e pouco antes da restauração da independência do país em 2002. A Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL) foi concebida com o intuito de responder aos desafios e requisitos de formação dos recursos humanos de Timor-Leste e é a universidade de referência do país. No decorrer da sua existência, a UNTL tem vindo a afirmar-se como o centro de excelência do ensino superior e pesquisa científica de Timor-Leste, procurando cumprir a sua missão de serviço público através das suas 9 faculdades, apoiadas por 9 unidades de investigação e formação. Com mais de 10.000 estudantes, 619 professores e investigadores e 471 funcionários, a UNTL assume-se hoje como uma Universidade dinâmica e inovadora, em plena fase de consolidação. -- The National University Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL) was created on November 17, 2000, one year after the popular consultation organized by the United Nations Mission in Timor-Leste, and shortly before the restoration of the country's independence in 2002. The National University Timor Lorosa'e (UNTL) was conceived in order to respond to the challenges and training requirements of Timor-Leste's human resources, and is now the country's reference university. During its existence, UNTL has established itself as the center of excellence in higher education and scientific research in Timor-Leste, seeking to fulfill its public service mission through its 9 faculties, supported by 9 research and training units. With more than 10,000 students, 619 lecturers and researchers and 471 employees, UNTL is today a dynamic and innovative University, in its consolidation phase.
