The GEO Project

The Green Energy Ontario Project is an initiative launched by advocates of sustainability in order to facilitate the significant implementation of renewable energy & efficiency solutions across the province via innovative programs tailored to stakeholders in Ontario's sustainable energy sector. This initiative is supported by Ontario based companies including its founders Ocean eXchange and Green Energy Ontario, who manage core processes such as operations, finance and marketing, and a growing list of program partners providing a full spectrum of competencies which include: >Sustainable Energy Project Financing >Incentives, Subsidies, Credits & Grants >Assessments & Procurement >Project Approvals & Compliance >Sustainable Energy Project Management >Energy Modeling, Audits & Feasibility Studies >Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Technologies >Systems Monitoring, Optimization & Maintenance >Information Technology & Business Intelligence The GEO Project is: >Delivering support for the Green Energy Act by collaborating in tandem with its objectives and those of its stakeholders >Enabling the Community Power Sector by developing & supporting energy programs for co-ops & community groups >SEE Responsible: Social We help create new local businesses and green jobs. Environmental We contribute to a healthier environment. We're replacing dirty coal-fired generation as a part of the largest climate change initiative in Canada. Economic We help reduce our dependence on expensive imported energy, nuclear and non-renewable resources while reducing the associated costs of centralized generation systems. We benefit from new energy related income streams and cost savings as well as investment opportunities.
