Support will be in the form of mentoring and signposting to specialist services ensuring businesses in Tendring have an opportunity to start and flourish. Why is it being set up? Business support is limited in the area; the Agency will ensure Tendring has an effective service that is kept simple and fit for purpose in an era of reduced funding. Who is involved in the Agency? The Agency will start as a Community Interest Company run by a small, voluntary board of local business people, operated by volunteers and some support from Essex County Council. Experienced local business leaders are offering their time to provide the mentoring service. Who is Tendring Enterprise Agency for? The service is for small businesses wishing to expand as well as individuals with business start-up proposals based in the District of Tendring. Where is it based? Tendring Enterprise Agency is based at the Essex Enterprise Centre, a popular centre on the Gorse Lane Industrial Estate in Clacton. Clients of the Agency can experience established businesses at work and possibly take space in the Centre. How can someone get support?
