Antilla Energy VBA Island nations face many unique challenges that can limit access to clean water. Lack of infrastructure, finite natural resources, cost of import, extreme weather events and other environmental impacts related to climate change all contribute to water scarcity and quality issues. Antilla Energy, based in Aruba, is dedicated to finding localized solutions to the problems that island nations face. With a focus on sustainable innovation, Antilla Energy is dedicated to circular economy philosophy and identifying renewable processes and products to help reduce the island waste stream. Antilla Energy is an importer of edible oils that are distributed in Aruba to hotels, restaurants, and grocery stores. Antilla also engages hotels, restaurants, and grocery stores to implement processes for properly diverting Used Cooking Oils (UCO) from ending up in landfills. Antilla is an ISCC Certified collector of UCO which is used for the production of biodiesel and renewable diesel in European markets. Through its subsidiary 297 Farm VBA, Antilla has completed an 18-month Controlled Environment Agriculture project growing leafy greens, herbs, and microgreens. The pilot was well-received by both tourists and local consumers. Plans for a 20x scale-up are underway. Antilla Energy announced a collaboration with Source Global PBC.
