Acasti is a late-stage specialty pharma company with drug delivery capability and technologies addressing rare and orphan diseases. Acasti is initially targeting three underserved orphan diseases - Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH), Ataxia Telangiectasia (A-T), and Postherpetic Neuralgia (PHN) – all with sizable patient populations and significant market opportunity. The Company's three lead clinical assets have all been granted Orphan Drug Designation by the FDA providing seven years of marketing exclusivity post-launch in the United States and are protected by over 40 granted and pending patents.
