Afrik'Energy Connect Inc. is a pan-African clean energy startup specializing in Productive Uses of Renewable Energy (PURE) and dedicated to increasing access to affordable and high-quality clean energy products. Our goal is to increase energy access [and its productive uses] in rural and peri-urban areas of Africa. Founded by young Africans aware of the challenges arising from the lack of access to energy on the continent (about 580 million people in Sub-Saharan Africa didn't have access to electricity in 2019), we wanted to contribute to efforts aimed at reducing existing deficits in access to energy across Africa. Afrik'Energy Connect will contribute to international efforts aimed at achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7) which calls for universal access to sustainable energy by 2030.
