The company name "Jester" refers to the tradition of a special kind of consultant during the medieval royal courts: The Court Jester The court jester was the only one in court, who was allowed to tell the truth in the presence of the king. He also had the duty to inform the client (the king) about risks. Typically, an IT security test or audit reveals unpleasant truths. We believe that an IT security consultant in the same tradition must fully disclose the risks within an IT system and the accompanying processes to his client. Additionally, the court jester symbolizes the ability to leave proven paths in order to "think outside the box" and to correlate information from unconventional points of view. He has fun at work and rejoices the people around him. With the jester as icon the Jester Secure iT is set out to be The Specialist for IT security.
